Edinburgh International’s Institutional Change team is dedicated to building the capacity of police forces by developing the ability of key staff in the following areas:
In doing so it aims to confront poor work habits and deliver best practice models for emergent police forces.
The multinational Edinburgh International (EI) team brings with it a wealth of real world experience coupled with strategic past performance.
The team realises that any reform project must be given direction by a Policing Plan with clear, realistic and achievable priorities and objectives.
Institution-building is a capacity-building process. The EI team provide police staff with the necessary knowledge, skills and character traits to achieve institutional priorities and objectives. The team utilise a systematic process of establishing desired performance standards. This enables the team and the police service to identify gaps in actual performance areas. With this knowledge, the police service can then monitor key performance indicators and introduce appropriate and focused change to their most important policies and practices. This enables the police service to build trust and confidence with the community it serves.
