Edinburgh Internationals Crisis Response And Facilitation Team is a high readiness, specialist group who are prepared to deploy at extremely short notice to provide assistance to clients in emergency or crisis situations. The CRAFT brings experienced emergency practitioners and crisis managers who will support clients and their stakeholders through the surge period of crisis and into the consequence management phase that naturally follows all crises. The CRAFT are specialists in completing logistics, security and/ or infrastructure assessments or establishing the necessary business infrastructure for a continuance of business or establishment of business. The CRAFT deploys as self sufficient entities and will provide satellite tracking and communications systems, basic emergency medical infrastructure, emergency food and water. The CRAFT can offer clients comprehensive medical and evacuation packages. The CRAFT is a group of crisis leaders who are able to rapidly overcome the chaos endemic in a crisis but also are sufficiently business wise to identify business opportunities that rapidly develop from all crises.

Environments and incidents that are specialist areas for the EI CRAFT include riots, internal unrest, insecurity and insurgency, hostage siege, kidnap and ransom situations and natural disasters. The CRAFTs assessments are supported by a comprehensive network of analysts and advisors and an operational architecture that ensures that the safety or security of clients will not be compromised.

Edinburgh International maintain the lead elements of the CRAFT at less than 4 hours notice to deploy anywhere in the World. Follow on elements are maintained at varying notice to move to support the initial assessment and needs of the CRAFTs lead elements. CRAFT personnel are highly experienced in conducting operations in austere and dangerous environments; many of the CRAFT are ex Special Forces personnel who are also experienced in facilitating business and hence are able to make the needs of a crisis situation and a business opportunity meet through sound risk management and understanding of your business needs.
