History
ERSM (Guernsey) Limited was founded in September 2003 providing manpower subcontracted to private security companies. The operational element was initially based in, and focused on, Iraq. Following the establishment of Company owned secure accommodation in the International Zone in Baghdad, it commenced services providing personal security details, and rapidly built an unrivalled reputation for integrity and transparency with its clients.
In August 2004, ERSM (Holdings) Ltd, a Guernsey registered company, was established to own the growing amount of operating companies .
After the first successful operation in Afghanistan that October, a Regional Headquarters was established in the UAE to provide a geographically closer focus to the emerging markets. Later that year, a large training facility was built by the Company in the Florida National Forest from which to offer instructional courses, and provide hurricane relief operations.
The Company was one of the first to conduct operations in Southern Sudan from January 2005. Also that year Regional Headquarters and brand focus was formally established as ERSM (International) Limited and is the prime operational, administrative and financial centre for the group activities.
In June 2006, the Edinburgh Risk & Security Management (ERSM) group of companies became known as Edinburgh International, or EI for short. The parent Holding company became Ravelston Holdings Limited.
In April 2010, Triple Canopy, Inc., a leading provider of integrated security and mission support services, acquired Edinburgh International, further enhancing EI’s global presence by enabling it to expand its service offering and client base.
Throughout this evolution, EI has built a reputation for delivering highly client-focused, practical and bespoke duty-of-care solutions that enable clients to deliver their services safely overseas. A loyal client base attaches great value to EI’s continued market leading reputation. EI continues to grow and now employs over 1850 employees.
